What’s to see in your local Scallymag?
The heart of every edition of the magazine, the Pre-School Diary, is always the centre spread and consists of a day-by-day list of what is happening for parents/carers and their pre-school children in the area. This will be up-to-date, accurate and, as far as possible, exhaustive.
Beyond that we have also compiled a similar diary for older children – a list of Out-Of-Schoolclubs; Cubs, Brownies, Sports clubs etc. Again, accuracy and completeness are key.
The Out & About section is also an important integral part of the magazine. We believe there is no better way to find out what a local attraction is really like, from a parents point of view, other than to ask other parents who have been. Can you get a pushchair round? Are there adequate changing facilities? Is it suitable for very young children? What are the eating facilities like? Etc. All questions not normally answered in the tourist brochures.
The rest of the magazine is filled with lively local family news, interesting features and fun. It’s local and it’s for the benefit of the readers.
